I'm Alan Partridge is a British sitcom created and written by Steve Coogan, Armando Iannucci and Peter Baynham. Steve Coogan stars as the lead character, Alan Partridge. There have been two series, the 1st in 1997 and the 2nd in 2002.

In May 2008 it was announced there is a film adaptation of "I'm Alan Partridge" in pre-production.

I’m Alan Partridge is about Alan Partridge, a failed chat show host who now works on Radio Norwich.

Series OneEdit

In the 1st series of I’m Alan Partridge Alan is living in the Linton Travel Tavern after being thrown out by his wife. Alan hosts “Up with the Partridge” on Radio Norwich from 4:30 AM to 7:00 AM. Throughout the series Alan receives infrequent phone calls from Bill Oddie. Alan usually manages to offend people through his radio show.

In the series Alan has a PA called Lynn, Lynn seems to do a lot for Alan, including getting him medicinal powder for his fungal foot infections.

Memorable moments from the series include, Alan’s failed attempt at a prank on the Linton Travel Tavern Staff, when Alan offended Norwich’s farming community and Alan’s going away party in the final episode.

• Alan Attraction: It’s Valentines Day and Alan enjoys a romantic liaison with the receptionist at Peartree Productions.
  

• Watership Alan: Alan gets into deep water presenting a promotional video for a boating company.
  

• Basic Alan: Refurbishment at the Linton Travel Tavern leaves Alan as the only guest. To while away the hours he takes a gentle stroll along the M11.
  

• To Kill a Mocking Alan: Alan hosts An Afternoon with Alan Partridge at the Travel Tavern (it’s a television chat show... that’s not on TV but has tea, Wagon Wheels and Sue Cook).
  

• Towering Alan: Alan receives an unexpected telephone call with tragic news. Could this be the big break he’s been waiting for?
  

Series TwoEdit

Series two is 5 years after he left the Linton Travel Tavern. Although Alan won a 5 year contract with the BBC at the end of the 1st series, Alan was forced to leave, however Alan believes himself to be “Bouncing Back”. In the 5 years between series 1 and 2 Alan was “Clinically Fed Up” and became addicted to Toblerones. But Alan now has the 3rd best slot on Radio Norwich, a military based quiz show called Skirmish on cable TV channel “UK Conquest”, a video called “Crash, Bang, Wallop, What a Video!” and an autobiography called “Bouncing Back”.

Alan now lives in a caravan outside his partially built house. Lynn is still Alan’s PA, Michael has left the Linton Travel Tavern to work in a BP garage, also there is a new character, Alan’s Ukrainian girlfriend, Sonja.

• The Talented Mr Alan: At the petrol station Alan bumps into his old teacher, Frank 'Sweaty' Raphael (who once caned Alan for having a chalk penis drawn on his blazer) and agrees to do a presentation at his alma mater.

• The Colour of Alan: Alan really is on the up. He's been asked to organise a sales conference for Dante's of Reading, the Ferrari of the coal effect fire indestry. However, following a nasty incident at his local country club 'Choristers@, the day of the presentation doesn't exactly go to plan.

• Bravealan: Alan meets Dan Moody - owner of Planet Kitchen. Both love Directors Bitter, use Lynx deodorant and drive Lexi (plural for Lexus). When Dan asks Alan to present an award at the Norwich Bravery Awards, it seems an invitation to join Norwich's social elite is beckoning...

• Never Say Alan Again: Alan and Michael plan to spend a Bank Holiday weekend watching every single James Bond film back-to-back. Alan helps Sonja work work out the catering arrangements for the perfect Bondathon, but then finds out about Michael's American-loving trucking friend...

• I Know What Alan Did Last Summer: Alan is worried about a visit from the Inland Revenue following an upsetting journey on a cross-channel ferry during which he threw all his bsiness recipts into the sea. Meanwhile, Sonja is swooning her favourite pop star Bono and has made a special scrapbook in his honour.

• Alan Wide Shut: Alan appears on Prayer Wave, a religious discussion show on Talk Cambridge, has an invitation to Lynn's Baptism, and has a pressing engagement at the recycling plant following some bad news regarding his book.
